  • Kindergarten music class is a joyful introduction to the world of music! Through singing, movement, rhythm games, and hands-on activities, young learners explore sounds, beats, and musical patterns in a playful way. This class builds listening skills, coordination, and a love for music — all while having fun!

  • This lively class helps young musicians build a strong musical foundation through singing, rhythm games, instrument exploration, and music reading. Students learn basic music concepts in a fun, hands-on way while developing listening skills, creativity, and confidence. Perfect for curious minds ready to make music come alive!

  • Designed for upper elementary students, this class deepens musical skills through active listening, instrument study, music theory, and creative projects. Students explore different styles and composers while building confidence in reading and performing music. It’s a fun, interactive way to grow as young musicians and music lovers!

  • This class invites middle school students to explore music more deeply through theory, history, and intro to piano performance. Students analyze different genres, study influential composers, and develop skills in reading and creating music. It’s a dynamic course that encourages creativity, critical listening, and a greater appreciation for the art of music.

Feierabend Fundamentals

First Steps in Music: A Joyful Start to Your Child’s Musical Journey

At the heart of Harmony Hive’s homeschool classes is the First Steps in Music curriculum, developed by Dr. John Feierabend—one of the leading experts in childhood music education.

This playful and engaging program is designed to help children ages 5-8 to become:

  • Beatful – able to feel and move to a steady beat

  • Artful – able to express music with feeling and creativity

In each class, your child will enjoy a variety of fun and age-appropriate musical experiences, including:
